A snippet from Runcorn News. I had to laugh at Sheridan's and Natalie's comments!

LOCATION filming for the new series of Runcorn-based sitcom Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps began in the town this week.
And the stars of the hit comedy, created by Runcorn writer Susan Nickson, have revealed that they love returning to Runcorn each year to film new episodes. Next week areas of town will be closed during the evening as cameras move in to film the new series to be shown early next year. The High Street will be closed from Miami Pizza to the Bank Chambers while the whole of Regent Street will be affected.
Sheridan Smith, who plays Janet in the show, joked: 'I think we have made the image of Runcorn worse, haven't we? We went there for filming some of the stuff in the last series - it's a funny little place, there wasn't much to do. I'm from up North so I liked it. I hope people from Runcorn like the show and think we've made it look good.'
Ex-Hollyoaks star Natalie Casey, who plays Donna, added: 'A lot of people complained about us showing young people in Runcorn living in sin and swearing, but I say that people can just switch it off if they don't like it.
'We've made it bigger than it is in real life.'
Many of the town's landmarks will be used in the new series, including Church Street - which doubles as the location for the baker's where Janet works - and large areas of Dukesfield where the main characters' flats are located. The Waterloo pub will be transformed into The Archers - the pub frequented by Johnny and Gaz, played by Ralf Little and Will Mellor - and the Silver Jubilee Bridge provides a backdrop to lots of the action.
